Dairywala (“we”, “our”), a product of DairyStack Private Limited, makes dairy-management software for dairy operators in India. This policy covers two apps: the Dairywala app and its companion Dairywala SMS app. It explains what we collect, why, and what choices you have.
Dairywala SMS — the short version
Dairywala SMS is a messaging app. When you choose it as your phone’s messaging app, it can read and send text messages so that milk receipts reach farmers automatically from your own SIM.
Your messages never leave your phone. Message content is not uploaded, not stored on our servers, not shared with anyone, and not used for advertising or analytics. It is read on the device and stays on the device.

Sending uses your own SIM and your own mobile plan, so your operator may charge you for each message at their normal rate. We do not add any charge and we do not route messages through our servers.
If you stop using Dairywala SMS as your messaging app, it stops using these permissions immediately.
Dairywala — what we collect
We collect only what is needed to run the app you see. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers.

On the town-or-district row: the app asks for location permission while you are using it, and only after you have signed in. If you say no, nothing is read. If you say yes, it takes a rough reading at most once every 30 days, rounds it to about a kilometre, and saves that along with the town, district and state. It is never a precise position, it is never read in the background, and we never build a record of where you travel.
How we contact you
Your mobile number is also how we reach you. We send your sign-in code, messages about your own dairy (a payment receipt, a plan ending, a day with no entries), and updates about the app including occasional offers on paid plans. These go out on WhatsApp or SMS, at your operator’s normal rates.
You can stop everything except the sign-in code. Reply STOP to any WhatsApp message from us, or write to support@dairywala.in. We stop within one working day. We never sell your number, and we never send you anyone else’s advertising.
What we never collect
- The content of your text messages, on any server of ours
- Your precise location, or any record of where you travel — see the town-or-district row above for the little we do read
- Health, biometric, or card-payment details
- Browsing or search history outside our apps
- Anything for advertising or cross-app tracking
Who else touches it
We use Google Firebase services as processors on our behalf: Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage, Crashlytics, Analytics, Cloud Messaging and Remote Config. They are covered by Google’s own privacy policy. No data goes to advertising networks or third-party trackers.
If you allow location, the rough reading is sent once to OpenStreetMap’s free lookup service to turn it into a town, district and state name. Nothing else about you is sent with it.
Your choices
- Revoke any permission at any time in your phone’s Settings. The features that need it will stop working, nothing else changes.
- Choose a different messaging app whenever you like — Dairywala SMS then stops reading or sending messages.
- Stop our WhatsApp and SMS updates any time — reply STOP to any message from us, or write to the address below. Sign-in codes still come through.
- Ask us to delete your account and its records by writing to the address below.
Children
Our apps are for dairy businesses and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update this page and the date at the top.
