Dairywala or a general billing app
A shop bills a price. A dairy bills a quality reading. That one difference changes everything downstream.
In a shop, the price is on the item. In a dairy, the price is produced by a measurement: fat, and often SNF or a lactometer reading, run through a formula or looked up in the union's chart. A general billing app has no place to put that measurement, so the rate has to be worked out somewhere else and typed in — which is the step that goes wrong.
The rest follows from it. Morning and evening are separate shifts, not two sales. Members are paid, not charged — money moves both ways and the balance has to hold both. The bill covers a cycle of seven, ten, fifteen or thirty days, not a single transaction.
And the readings come from a machine. Dairywala connects to milk analysers from STPL, Ekomilk, Essae, EIPL and others, and to weighing scales, over Bluetooth and WiFi. That is a dairy-shaped problem and general billing software does not attempt it.
Where a general billing app is genuinely ahead: tax invoicing, stock and purchase management, expense tracking and formal accounting. Dairywala does none of those, and this page is not going to pretend otherwise. If you need GST invoices, you need different software — or both.
