What is a pro-rata bonus?
A little extra per 0.1 of fat above a mark, paid up to a ceiling.
A dairy that wants to encourage richer milk can add a small amount for every 0.1 of fat above some starting point, stopping at an ending point so the payout stays predictable.
It sits on top of whatever pricing method the member is on — a fixed rate, a formula, or a chart. The base price is worked out first, then the bonus is added.
In Dairywala the start fat, the end fat and the amount per 0.1 are all settings, and can be set for the whole dairy. There is also a separate flat bonus per litre, either an amount or a percentage, which can be set per member.
