Many dairies read a lactometer rather than an SNF meter. Dairywala converts the reading with SNF = CLR ÷ 4 + 0.14 + fat × 0.2, then applies whichever formula ratio the member is on.
The 0.14 is adjustable, because societies differ on the constant they use. Change it once in settings and every CLR member is converted the same way.
The entry form asks for fat and CLR for these members, and shows the SNF it derived, so the operator can see the number before the entry is saved.
