A member's bill carries the date, the milk type, the litres, the fat, the SNF, the CLR if you take it, the base rate, the bonus and the amount — line by line, not a single total to be believed.
Above the lines sits the opening balance and below them the closing balance, with goods bought on account and payments made or received in between. An advance is always carried forward.
Cycles run seven, ten, fifteen or thirty days, or any custom length up to thirty. The cycle you are looking at rolls forward on its own, and morning and evening boundaries are respected.
